Social Foundry in Kyneton is literally a whole vibe! Let’s talk about the smashed avo toast. It’s next level. Period. The avo is so fluffy (like, how do they even do that??), and it’s BFFs with the goat’s cheese—seriously, they’re a dream team. The pesto drizzle just ties it all together. The lattes? SO velvety and smooth. You could drink them all day. The vibe here is super chill and welcoming—perfect for a catch-up or solo coffee run. Plus, the staff are actual legends - so friendly, just genuinely nice humans. What really makes Social Foundry special is what they stand for. They’re all about giving back and making a difference, and honestly, it just restores your faith in humanity. Massive respect to these superstars for everything they do. Came up from Melbourne for the day and stopped in for some brunch. I must say I have NEVER in my life had sourdough bread as soft as this. It was so fresh I’m amazed! I tried their pumpkin smash dish, it was absolutely delicious. Coffee was smooth and strong. Great choice of seating outdoor, in the front of the cafe or in the back with some comfy couches and lower lighting. Great atmosphere and lovely attentive staff. Love that they highlight inclusion and diversity and donate to charity! It’s a must try!
Everytime my family and I make the trip to Kyneton we try and visit this wonderful place. From the moment we walked in, the vibe was warm, welcoming, and effortlessly stylish one of those places you instantly feel good in. The food was next level. Everything was fresh, full of flavour, and clearly made with so much care. What really stood out though was the service. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely lovely without feeling over the top it just made the whole experience even better. Honestly, it’s the kind of place you go to once and immediately start planning your next visit. Kyneton is lucky to have it.

Glad we stopped for lunch. The number of customers showed this was a popular cafe, particularly with Mums and kids due to the outdoor play area. The menu included a variety of gluten free options which was important to us. The GF egg & bacon sandwich was delicious and a surprisingly large portion size for GF bread. My potato and leek soup was thick and tasty. Our meal was served by friendly staff which topped off a delightful experience.
